In the past year, ENOC Industrial Products Marketing and EPPCO Lubricants signed a total of 52 deals contributing to 15% of ENOC Marketing's overall business

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, (UAE), 23 December 2015

ENOC Marketing, the business segment of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) dedicated to the marketing of aviation fuel, lubricants, LPG and diesel, petrol and asphalt, highlighted the importance of valuable longstanding business relations with key customers at a private appreciation ceremony held at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.

The ceremony was organised to recognise key customers of ENOC Industrial Products Marketing (EIPM) and EPPCO Lubricants (EL) for choosing ENOC as their partner of choice and to celebrate their joint achievements as a result of their long standing synergies. Many of EIPM and EL's customers have been dealing with the organisation for several years, thus demonstrating their trust in the high standards of service and products provided by ENOC.

At the ceremony, Zaid Alqufaidi, Managing Director - ENOC Marketing provided a brief overview of key initiatives that have been announced within the international and regional energy sector. He also presented local industry trends with respect to the global direction towards a low-carbon century, where climate change poses an ethical challenge to global society. Alqufaidi also shared EIPM's and EL's key milestones and future plans for 2016 and expressed his appreciation and recognition for the long standing business relations forged with various partners.

"It is an honour to be here today to recognise our partners for their commitment and hard work. You are a key element of our growth and we would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your efforts at sustaining our business and choosing ENOC to be your 'Partner of Choice' over the years," stated Zaid Alqufaidi.

"We are a country proud of our achievements and accomplishments at a young age of 44 years. Our strategy as an extension of the Dubai Government is to support and drive the growth and development of the UAE and together through our long-standing partnerships; we will continue to lead the way across the region," he added.

In 2015, EIPM and EL combined signed 52 agreements with key customers this year, which contributed to 15% of ENOC Marketing's overall performance.

EIPM has worked closely with the authorities to help raise fuel industry standards of practice, making ENOC the first company in the UAE to introduce low sulfur 10 ppm Diesel in 2014. Through lobbying the authorities, they have regulated the grey market trade of degraded diesel which not only impacts the environment but also the competitive landscape which their customers have to often bid against in tenders.

ENOC's investment in ELOMP - its lubes and greases manufacturing facilities in Fujairah and Jebel Ali has raised the capacity to 300,000 MT annually. In addition, EMGAS started commercial sales of CNG in 2014, a first in the country because of which ESMA nominated EMGAS as the official executer of CNG activities in Dubai.
