DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Horizon Terminals Ltd, a subsidiary of Dubai's state-owned fuel retailer Emirates National Oil Company, or ENOC, has awarded a contract to Indian construction firm Punj Lloyd Ltd. (532693.BY) to build an oil products terminal at Jebel Ali and construct a 60 kilometer jet fuel pipeline to Dubai International Airport.
The oil terminal facilities include storage tanks with a capacity of 141,000 cubic meters and a tanker truck loading system connected to the oil tanker berths, ENOC said in an emailed statement Monday.
No financial details were disclosed.
ENOC said the oil terminal will handle a jet fuel system initially and other petroleum products at later stages, while the proposed 60 kilometer pipeline running from the Jebel Ali Free Zone to Dubai International Airport will have a branch off point at the new Dubai World Central airport for future expansion.
