Sheikha Mona Abdullah Al Moalla, Chief Operating Officer, Strategic Planning & Operations at Dubai Economic Council (DEC) stated that UAE stands ahead many countries in terms of urgent humanitarian initiatives that launched to relieve the peoples around the world who witness inverse circumstances. She also stressed that these initiatives reflect the values and principles that the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan established in the UAE society.

Al Moalla said that the DEC has recently conducted a massive promotional campaign for the UAE compassion campaign 'Tarahamo' launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to aid one million refugees and relieve their suffering of the harsh winter conditions caused by snowstorm Huda currently hitting Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine, and to rescue as many people as possible, particularly women, children and elderly people and persons with disabilities.

Sheikha Mona Al Moalla pointed out that DEC campaign started with its board members who represent leaders from public and private sectors in Dubai. The campaign also involves the DEC's Secretariat staff as well as a long list of the DEC strategic partners, including major businesses, international advisory entities, policy research centers, legal firms, and academics.

"DEC has advocated "Corporate Social Responsibility" (CSR) as one of its critical values, and has formed a dedicated committee as a part of its organizational structure, encompasses staff from the DEC Secretariat that aims to conduct several campaigns to introduce humanitarian services to the society" Al Moalla concluded.
