Dubai:

Dubai Investments Park (DIP), wholly-owned by Dubai Investments (DI), said it has upgraded its smart, state-of-the-art Video Surveillance solution aimed at monitoring perimeter security and vehicle recognition within the community.

The hi-tech Video Surveillance solution, developed by TechSource, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC offering the complete portfolio of services in the IT domain, is currently operational in the residential areas in Green Community East Park locality within DIP.

As part of the upgraded system, a live feed of 40 High Definition cameras are providing accurate frame-by-frame recognition of the vehicle plate numbers at the entry and exit points of the industrial gates in East Park neighbourhood. The pilot project also involves installation of new cameras in next few months in other parts of DIP to enhance the monitoring zones.

TechSource is responsible for the complete, hi-tech multipoint wireless infrastructure for this video surveillance network, including providing the know-how. The Company has come up with an effective design, backed by reliable, easy-to-deploy and cost-effective technology in partnership with leading IT vendors, to manage the operations.

“The Video Surveillance solution from TechSource is a ground-breaking value addition to boost perimeter security, vehicle movement and monitoring within DIP. The system is highly scalable and offers remarkable software flexibility to manage surveillance within the assigned zones. We continue to work with our partners to fully leverage TechSource’s technical experiences in this domain for future projects,” said Venkatesh Mahadevan, General Manager of TechSource.

Since its inception in 1998, DIP has spent over Dh4 billion aimed at building and elevating its infrastructure to world-class standards. As of date, DIP offers 140 kilometres of internal road network, highly-sustainable power and water supply, well-connected telecommunications network and district cooling services across the entire park.
