LONDON (Dow Jones)--Centrica PLC (CNA.LN), the parent company of British Gas, announced that Qatar's Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Qatar Petroleum International, or QPI, Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding detailing cooperation in energy-related investments between QPI and Centrica.
MAIN FACTS:
-Investment targets will include new or existing projects in upstream oil and gas including, where appropriate, liquefied natural gas, gas storage as well as combined-cycle gas turbine generation assets and downstream opportunities, in accordance with each company's strategic priorities.
-Centrica shares at 0915 GMT up 0.57% at GBP2.98 valuing the company at GBP15.33 billion.
