MUSCAT -- In a move signalling the company's commitment to the Omani market, and to bring enhanced logistics capability to the Sultanate, DHL Exel Supply Chain has strengthened its ties with Bahwan Cybertek, under a new corporate brand, Bahwan DHL Exel Supply Chain. The newly-named company is committed to providing complete supply chain and logistics solutions using the latest technologies and best industry practices to support Oman's booming economic growth, especially in the oil and gas sector.

"With this enhanced partnership, we are combining DHL Exel Supply Chain's vast resources and international expertise with the local knowledge and strengths of Bahwan Cybertek, Oman's leading business transformation company. Both companies present a unique synergy of unmatched supply chain capabilities," Paul Spyropoulos, Country Managing Director, Bahwan DHL Exel Supply Chain, said at a press conference held yesterday to unveil the company's new brand name and logo.

"Oman's economy is expanding rapidly boosted by significant oil exploration, production and refining activities. These industries, alongside other buoyant sectors, call for the best logistics and transport solutions. Bahwan DHL Exel Supply Chain is capable of providing clients with both third and fourth party logistics solutions for the total supply chain, ranging from consulting and design to management and execution," added Spyropoulos.

Commenting on the partnership Hind Suhail Bahwan, Chairperson DHL Exel Supply Chain and Bahwan CyberTek Group said: "Over the years, Oman has pursued a balanced and sustainable growth model with equal emphasis on developing its natural resources, business sector and human resources. Among existing customers for the new company is Petroleum Development Oman. It has a significant cargo haulage contract with Bahwan DHL Exel Supply Chain, as well as a fourth party logistics (4PL) management agreement.
