SAUDI ALLOCATES SAR10B FOR INTEREST-FREE LOANS FOR SMALL PROJS
State-run Saudi Credit and Saving Bank has allocated 10 billion Saudi riyals ($2.67 billion) to its new Masarat program that aims to finance small and emerging projects. All loans under the program will be interest-free and the maximum value of each loan will be SAR4 million.

KUWAIT TO OPERATE 3 RENEWABLE ENERGY PLANTS WITHIN 3 YRS
Kuwait plans to set up three local power plants that will use renewable energy resources to generate electricity at a combined capacity of 70 megawatts. The power plants, which are expected to start operations within three years, comprise a 50 MW thermal solar power plant in addition to a photovoltaic solar power plant and a plant using wind power each with a capacity of 10 MW.
