Exhibition dedicated to opulent living launches competition to find region's best young talent

Dubai - The region's hottest undiscovered designers have the chance to have their skills recognisedthanks to a competition organised by Arab Luxury World. The exhibitiondedicated to sybaritic living is launching a campaign to encourage young talent in the regionthrough a contest for thebest design of a laptop bag, with the winning entry showcased at this year's edition of the conference.

Arab Luxury World, which takes place on June 1-2, 2015, will reveal a produced prototype of the winning bag complete with the designer's signature. Inside will be a leaflet with a brief bio of the designer, their latest work and their contact details, giving them the chance to reveal their talents to the global luxury industry stakeholders attending the show.

"Arab Luxury World is encouraging young designers and providing them with a chance to present their design for a new laptop bag to the crème-de-la-crème of the luxury business in the region," said Julien Hawari, Co-CEO, Mediaquest. "This competition is an important step from Arab Luxury World, which has made it its mission to help the region grow talent and provide for young new stars-in-waiting access to the most prestigious bands and managers," he added.

Organised by Mediaquest, the region's largest privately owned media company, Arab Luxury World services the region's luxury market that has been characterised by strong growth for the last decade. This expansion has resulted with the region spending on average close to $30,000 per capita on beauty, fashion and gifts, according to a study released last year by the Chalhoub group.

Arab Luxury World brings together all the elements that make up the business of luxury, including brands renowned for their opulent product ranges, distributors, mall operators and the who's who of the ultimate in fashion and accessories. Among the sectors and industries represented are watches and jewelry, tourism, fragrance and cosmetics, premium cars, and art & culture.

Entrantsshould be resident in the GCC or the Middle East. There are no fees attached to the competition.
