Society of Engineers - UAE organize the third Arabian Tunnelling Conference and Exhibition in partnership with the International Tunnelling Association (ITA) from the period of 23 to 25 November 2015 in Grand Hyatt Dubai. Dubai is hosting the third edition of ATC, an event dedicated to the field of tunnelling and best sustainable usage of underground space in the Gulf and Middle East. Society of Engineers - UAE will once again organize this event after the outstanding success of its first and second edition.
H.E. Eng. Essa Al Maidoor, Deputy Director General of Dubai Municipality and President of Society of Engineers - UAE said "This conference captures the local and international attention as it confirms the participation of 35 speakers for two days conference from 30 countries worldwide. The conference will explore the best practices and lessons learned in the field of underground space and especially it will present the biggest and oldest tunnel as well as the fastest train all over the world and how to overcome the challenges and difficulties in the field of construction and health & safety in infrastructure sector.
Mr. Maged Farouck Hanna, ITA Executive Council Member and General Manager of Society of Engineers - UAE stated that "The pioneering role of Society of Engineers - UAE in organizing events plays an essential role in the field of providing awareness on the importance of strategic planning for the underground space which is consider one of the main important factors in sustainable and smart cities which will be reflected in reducing the energy usage and carbon footprint emission. The conference will explore many innovative solutions in the usage of underground space as this conference is under the theme "Innovative Underground Infrastructure - Challenges and Opportunities".
