Abu Dhabi, July 4, 2007 (WAM): The InternationalPetroleum Investment Company(IPIC) announced today that it hasinvited tenders for the front-end engineering design contractfor the proposed 350 km oil pipeline between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah.
The Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP) Project,to carry oil from Abu Dhabi's onshore oil centre of Habshan toFujairah, was officially announced in January this year.
According to IPIC's Khadim Al Qubaisi, a number of internationalcompanies have been invited to submit tenders for the contract,which is expected to be awarded by the beginning of August. Theproject will also involve the construction of ancillary facilitiesfor storage and export from Fujairah.
