Guangzhou, CHINA- The UAE is participating in China Import and Export Fair, CANTON 2017, which started yesterday and will run until October 19 here in Guangzhou.

The exhibition is the largest trade fair, with an impressive scale, a complete exhibit variety, a broad distribution of overseas buyers and the greatest business turnover in Guangzhou, with over 20,000 venders,and about 100,000 buyers participating.

The opening ceremony, held in Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, was attended by Juma Mohammed Al Kait, UAE Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade, at Ministry of Economy, and a number of Ministry of Economy and consular executives along with business people and representatives of the Chinese government.

"All possible incentives have been given to Emirati entrepreneurs and enterprise owners participating in CANTON 2017 in order to help them tap fresh markets for their products and develop constructive partnerships, specially with major partners, and this visit to Guangzhou is a good opportunity to further strengthen exchange of knowledge and expertise," said Mohamed Al Youssofi, Director of the National Program for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

An array of economic issues of mutual concern were discussed on the sidelines of the conference by the UAE and Chinese officials as part of the growing partnership between the two countries.

The UAE delegates were shown around the fair pavilions which include exhibits of over 150,000 kinds of quality Chinese products and overseas commodities with distinctive features.
