The Guide aims at setting an organizational technical framework which contributes to the optimal implementation of the Brand of Abu Dhabi and its elements

The Brand Guide consists of three main parts: The Brand of Abu Dhabi, the regulations of establishment of new brands and the rules of use of "Abu Dhabi" and "Abu Dhabi Government"

The Executive Committee of the Executive Council, presided by H.E. Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, head of the Executive Office, adopted during its meeting Brand of Abu Dhabi Guide, prepared by the Office of Government Communication at the Abu Dhabi General Secretariat of the Executive Council. The Brand of Abu Dhabi Guide determines the regulations of the Brand of Abu Dhabi and the establishment of new brands in addition to the regulations and criteria of use of the names "Abu Dhabi" or "Abu Dhabi Government" in advertising and media campaigns and events.

The Guide aims at setting an organizational technical framework by providing the necessary materials which contribute to an optimal implementation of the Brand of Abu Dhabi and its elements in line with the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, the Guide explains the mechanism and criteria of use of the Brand of Abu Dhabi and introduce Abu Dhabi Government companies and entities to the regulations of establishment of new brands, as well as the rules of the application for the use of the name "Abu Dhabi" in events or campaigns. The Guide addresses to Abu Dhabi Government companies and entities in addition to entities from the private sector, wishing to use the names "Abu Dhabi" or "Abu Dhabi Government" in their events and campaigns.

The Brand Guide consists of three main parts: The Brand of Abu Dhabi, the regulations of establishment of new brands and the rules of use of the names "Abu Dhabi" or "Abu Dhabi Government". In its first part, the Guide explains the elements of the Brand of Abu Dhabi (i.e. logo, graphics, images, colors and designs) and discusses the uses of the brand in the government entities and the implementation of the same in publications, advertisements, events and joint ventures between several entities. Moreover, the Guide explains the wrong and banned uses of the brand in terms of the change of logo or the relation between the logo and its elements, the use in perishable materials or inappropriate places.

The second part of the Guide discusses the criteria of establishment of new brands for Abu Dhabi Government companies and entities and their projects. It also determines the regulations of such brands and their compliance with the culture, patrimony and nature of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in terms of the development of the concept of the logo, graphics and numbers recommended for use.

The third part of the Guide highlights the regulations of use of the names "Abu Dhabi" or "Abu Dhabi Government" in promotional and media campaigns, events, activities and joint campaigns between several entities. It also explains the mechanism of approval of the use of the name "Abu Dhabi" from the time of receipt of the application from the applicant until the receipt of the reply.

The Brand of Abu Dhabi was established in 2007 in order to promote the Emirate at both local and international levels, in joint cooperation between government entities.
