Sharjah: The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority has completed the construction of four strategic light fuel storage depots at a cost of Dh22 million. The storage facilities are located at the Hamriyah power station and water desalination plants, with a capacity of 48,000 cubic metres. The project aims to ensure that power generators and water desalination plants are constantly supplied with fuel, particularly in times of emergency. The project’s objectives include enhancing the emirate’s strategic supply of oil in order to meet growing demands for energy and water.
