Kuwait: VO, the first Kuwait-based integrated youth platform for incubating young talents, launched “It happened! And their dreams are fulfilled”, a campaign that fosters Kuwait’s global positioning on social media platforms by exposing young Kuwaiti talents to the international community.

The campaign’s success was exemplified in its recent production of ‘BRAVO’, a song that crossed above 4 million views in three days and claimed number one on Kuwait’s YoutTube, GCC, Morocco, and currently hitting Egypt.

The inspiring story of VO fulfilling the dream of the Kuwaiti amateur singer, Haneen Hussain, who aspired to have the world recognize her talent and sing with her favorite Kuwaiti singers, Bader Shuaib and Abdulaziz Louis, grasped the attention of many Kuwaitis and infused hope in having their talents recognized.

“There are so many ‘Haneens’ in Kuwait who have the talent but don’t know how to start. Kuwaiti youth currently need practical opportunities and proper guidance that would support their journey of do-ing. And, this is exactly what we are doing at VO. If you have a specific talent or passionate about a field, we help you fulfill your dream with the support of highly qualified experts, international entities, and those who are leading the field,” stated Ms. Riham Al Ayyar, CEO of VO.

The participating talents have praised VO and commended the platform’s idea and efforts in providing them with concrete opportunities that helped them to practically achieve their dreams and follow their passion. Prominent celebrities such as Bader Al Shuaibi stated, “When I was first introduced to the concept of VO, I was pleased to be finally collaborating with an entity that invests in Kuwaiti talents and fulfills its promises.”

Officially launched in May, the campaign has already supported a number of Kuwaiti young talents in the fields of music, production, and entertainment through practical collaborations that resulted in tangible impact across various platforms, including:

  • Building the capacity of a long list of actors, directors, and producers such as Mohammed Al Fozan, Laila Al Buloushi, and many others through substantial initiatives and collaborations that opened up opportunities for them to connect with prominent names in the field and directly work with them. Those names include Kuwaiti actor Osama Al Buloushi, director Sadeq Behbehani, and producer Dr. Meshari Al Mutawa.
  • Fulfilling Humood Al Bader and Mohammed Abdel Razaq’s dream and passion in moderating their first e-gaming competition to transform their talent to an entrepreneurial skill. VO is currently supporting them to represent Kuwait in international tournaments.
  • Supporting Fahad Al Bishara in hosting his own social media show called Al Morad.

“Unleashing Kuwaiti talents to the international community will support Kuwait’s global positioning and economic diversification. We must recognize that oil and natural gas are not the only resources of Kuwait. The country possesses many talents and unique gifts that we can capitalize on, and this will only happen once we acknowledge the potential of Kuwaiti youth and practiVO, the integrated youth platform and Kuwait’s first talent incubator, was founded in July 2020 as result of a fruitful collaboration between Sheikha Ohoud Al Sabah and Riham Al Ayyar aiming to empower local talents and position them in the global market.
