The Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) and the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) successfully conducted an occupational training seminar for ADVETI students. The training was held to enhance the participants’ theoretical knowledge and practical experience based on proven mechanisms that support different engineering disciplines, including mechanical and electrical. The recently concluded event formed part of DGW’s commitment to launch integrated engineering and maintenance training programs to ensure that the students’ car maintenance knowledge and skills are in accordance with the best professional practices and the highest international standards.

H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al Raeesi, Deputy Executive Director, DGW, assured that DGW will continue to provide outstanding practical training programs for Emiratis as part of its contribution to efforts aimed at building a knowledge-driven economy and nurturing the talents of the country’s young citizens, who will take the lead in the UAE’s comprehensive and sustainable development process.

He added that DGW’s robust partnership with ADVETI is the latest in its string of collaborative efforts with various government, semi-government, and private sector entities in the country. According to H.E., such strategic alliances help stimulate the local business environment and promote creativity, knowledge sharing, and innovation among young citizens even before they join the labor market. DGW and its partners seek to ensure that the students will be able to effectively apply scientific theories in the workplace.

“The recent training program held at DGW’s headquarters focused on academic and practical training and operational development. Overall, we train both employees and students using the latest technological innovations to equip them with the highest quality, professional, and technological skills,” he concluded.
