Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates : Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the largest healthcare network in the UAE, has launched 6 new features on its SEHA app with the aim of facilitating patient transactions easily and remotely through their smart devices. Some of the new features include pre-employment medical examinations, pre-maritalexaminations, Weqaya examination, issuing Absher Cards for people of determination and senior citizens, and patient’s invoives.

Bader Al Qubaisi, Acting Group Chief Information Officer at SEHA, said:"We are committed to providing the latest technologies and harnessing them to service our clients across the numerous medical facilities. We are continually improving our processes to meet and exceed international standards. SEHA is keen on providing world class patient care, technology and medical infrastructure to ensure patient satisfaction. This app has been very popular with over 184,000 users that downloaded it since the launch in February. We have around 1000 new users since the implementation of the changes, all of which have stated that the app has simplified their healthcare experience.”

The new feature of the pre-employment medical examination allows clients to apply for the medical examination conforming to the requirements needed for a employment examination. The feature for pre-marital examination allows men and woman to schedule an appointment with the nearest lab to test for hereditary blood or communicable diseases. This allows couples the opportunity to seek medical advice and options for planning a healthy future.

The feature of the Weqaya examination allows users to request a health screening for families. The Absher Card feature allows people of determination and senior citizens to issue an Absher Card to facilitate their visits at SEHA facilities. They are given priority access for appointments, pharmacies, radiology labs and other medical services. They can also apply to replace lost Absher Cards.

Another added feature of the app introduced to and book appointments and follow ups with ease.

The SEHA app houses patient data, lab results, vital signs, radiology,allergies, and health maintenance through periodic checkups. It also provides, patient education material, happiness index and customer feedback on services provided at SEHA health facilities.

The use of modern technologies has proven to be effective in the improvement of services. They play a vital role in the development of health and medical services, such as the recently implemented smart pharmacy that has an automated prescription dispensary which functions with extreme precision and speed.
