Dubai: On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Minister of Finance, President of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, The Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, inaugurated the 4th Middle East International Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine Conference and Exhibition (MEIDAM 2019) at the Intercontinental Hotel Dubai Festival City In the presence of 1500 doctors and specialists from different continents of the world.
At the beginning of his speech, His Excellency thanked His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for sponsoring the conference as well as the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, for organizing the conference, stressing that the important value behind the conferences and forums lies in the exchange of expertise and experience, transfer of knowledge and the development of professional practices. This is what we are focusing on in the UAE and Dubai, as a unique interactive platform, for the world's developments in various fields, and as a sustainable forum for scientists, intellectuals and innovative minds.
His Excellency said that Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine, has imposed itself strongly on the international health arena, has become one of the most important specialized areas affecting the movement and market of medical tourism.
This, in turn, reflects the growing demand for this type of medical service, particularly as skin diseases are associated with many other diseases, as well as the remarkable growth and demand for cosmetic and other complementary surgeries in various communities.

In turn, Dr. Khaled bin Salim Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the conference, said that the success of the conference in the past three years has led to an increase in the proportion of international participants from the long established official associations specializing in dermatology and cosmetic medicine, starting from the Arab world, passing through New Zealand, China, Malaysia, Europe and the United States.
