Drawing inspiration from the fleet-footed gazelle, master of swiftly manoeuvring through the Arabian deserts, Nissan Middle East expanded the Patrol Safari family with the introduction of the Nissan Patrol Gazelle and Gazelle X one-year ago. At the show, the Gazelle name attracted positive hype too with the new concepts, inspired by and built for the region, on display.

Its great off-roading capability upgrade with a higher approach angle and an on-board tire compressor fits in perfectly with the off-roading culture of the region. It also embraces a premium and tough interior reflected in striking Gazelle Storm leather and varying mood lights along with a storage box for off-road gear and camping equipment.
The Navara Gazelle concept attracted all who loved sports and performance too with its newly designed bumpers, tailgate spoilers, enhanced suspension shocks, built-in compressor and a two-inch lift kit with all terrain tires. Other exciting highlight that gained attention was its 2.5-Litre engines, with a potential diesel or gasoline choice making the most of power and efficiency.
The Future Generation
Nissan hosted school students from the Clarion School in Dubai and presented to them a highlight of how cars are designed, manufactured and shipped to the United Arab Emirates, and electric vehicles namely the Nissan LEAF.
Dubai Expo 2020 Corner
The UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021 aims to make Dubai a smart, integrated, and connected city - one that is fully sustainable with its resources and clean environmental components. Similarly, a federal mandate that states 10% of investments in new vehicles will cover electric and hybrid cars by 2020, will greatly help in encouraging consumers to make the shift to more environmentally friendly methods of transportation.
To highlight this and Nissan's global partnership with Dubai Expo 2020, Nissan featured a corner dedicated to the Expo on the stand, which demonstrated Nissan's energy share technology through the Nissan Leaf on display.
An activation, powered by the Nissan Leaf on display, saw visitors to the stand run frantically to simulate the generation of energy (in joules) for a free cup of coffee or hot chocolate. A touch sensitive pad captured the participant's feet taps and after a certain number was reached, a QR code was given. The participant then scanned the QR code on a machine connected to a special printer, which printed either a selfie of them or one of several preloaded Nissan pictures on their beverage of choice. By the end of the show, a total of 39 million joules were simulated by all the stand visitors that took part in the activity.
Committed to bringing innovation and excitement to customers in the region, Nissan Middle East succeeded in building a bigger crowd of passionate motoring enthusiasts in this year's motor show giving visitors a full immersion into Nissan's mobility experiences and creating new ways to connect and engage with them.
