Cairo –  Raya Holding for Financial Investment announced that its subsidiary Aman For E-Payments received a licence from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to act as a payment facilitator.

The new licence will allow Aman to offer a wide range of e-payment services via different banking cards at its network of 55,000 merchants, Raya Holding said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

Aman signed a protocol of cooperation with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) to roll out 20,000 points of sale (POS) machines.

It is worth mentioning that in the first quarter of 2020, Raya Holding incurred net losses of EGP 68.8 million, up from EGP 26.2 million in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders’ rights.
