AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and Jordan Press Foundation- Al Ra'i- signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the two sides.

The MoU was signed, in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of TAG.Global, Dr. Khalid Alshuqran, editor-in-chief of Al Rai newspaper, Dr. Hadi Al Shoubaki, director of Al Ra’i Center for Studies, Mr. Alaa Al Qaralleh, director of Al Ra’i Economic Section, by Al Ra’i Foundation General Manager, Mr. Jehad Al-Shara, and Mr. Ramez Quneibi, deputy director-general of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech), a member of TAG.Global.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in collaborating with Al-Ra’i, considering it is the first and the most popular newspaper in the Kingdom, referring to its good reputation as one of the most famous Arab newspapers over the years. He added that the newspaper carries out its mission with professionalism and honesty, noting that Al Ra’i was able to compete and keep pace with digital and professional developments in the knowledge world, while maintaining its position as a print publication.

For his part, Dr. Alshuqran emphasized the importance of such agreement in strengthening and developing cooperation between the two parties in the areas of media, advertising, technology and intellectual property rights.

He stated that the signed cooperation would positively and effectively benefit both sides.

Al-Shara extended his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, affirming the significance of collaboration with ‘Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global’. He added that the changing circumstances have directly affected the media institutions in general and the newspaper industry in particular, referring to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as the main reason behind the acceleration in digital transformation of these institutions.

During the signing ceremony, the two sides agreed to cooperate in different fields including refurbishing the newspaper's local news and reporters’ halls, conducting joint training programs through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy

for Capacity Building. That is in addition to the provision of support to Al Ra’i by technically auditing its website, its digital transformation plan, the development of marketing and media mechanism plan among others by TAG.Global.
