AMMAN — About 250,000 households will benefit from the National Aid Fund’s (NAF) cash assistance programmes in 2021, the general director of the fund Omar Mashagbeh said on Sunday.

He also added spending on cash assistance programmes in the coming year will reach more than JD250 million, noting that the government will announce the details about the expansion of programmes after being approved by the Cabinet.

The NAF during this year has provided services to more than 80 per cent of Jordanian households, through recurring financial aid and complementary support programme, as well as bread subsidy and daily wager support programmes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
