Abu Dhabi, UAE: Trip.com Group, China’s leading travel services provider has signed an exclusive 18 month China Business Development Collaboration with Experience Hub, to support Trip.com employees to promote Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, one of the fastest growing leisure and entertainment destinations globally, as the perfect holiday destination for Chinese tourists.

This will be the first Business Development Collaboration in China to promote Yas Island Abu Dhabi, where the partnership will see the two entities work together on a structured program focused around engagement, training and incentivisation of Trip.com’s agents and sales associates. The programme aims to develop staff loyalty to the unique island destination, in order to drive further visitations from China, and support the recovery of the travel and tourism sector. The program kicked off with a 3 day Yas Island Week Celebration event inside Trip.com HQ, China, with over 100 employees from Sales, Marketing and Call Centre in attendance to further develop the knowledge of Yas Island amongst Trip.com employees and celebrate the staff who drive sales and promote the destination to Trip.com’s consumer travel customer base.

China is one of Yas Island’s key source markets, offering a diverse range of engaging experiences and itineraries that appeal to Chinese travellers. Yas Island also has a total of 2000 rooms and suites across seven hotels for Chinese visitors to choose from, with the Chinese tourist friendly destination also enabling easy payments with AliPay across all the theme parks and a network of shopping and dining outlets across the island.

Trip.com Group has a long-term relationship with Yas Island; cooperation projects include the C-trip Yas Island joint promotion project in 2019. In February 2020, at the kind invitation of Liam Findlay, GM of Experience Hub, Mr. Liang Jianzhang, founder and Chairman of Trip.com Group, visited Yas Island Abu Dhabi and signed the Cooperation MEMO.

September 2020 saw Yas Island’s successful livestreaming campaign with Trip.com, in partnership with DCT Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways and DTCM. The livestreaming had a total of 5.3M event views, selling 457 holiday packages to the unique destination through Trip.com.

With the success of the livestream event, Yas Island is preparing another pre-sale campaign with Trip.com which will run until January 2021.
