Bahrain's defence capabilities will be further strengthened as it plans to deploy new technology.

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has selected New York-based L3Harris Technologies to provide a C4I system to implement enhanced battlefield management.

The new system will help track hostile and blue forces, integrate personnel, intelligence, local weather, planning and other data into battlefield operation.

“This C4I Initial Operational Capability System programme represents a major milestone in the advancement of command and control and joint operational capabilities for the Bahrain Defence Forces,” said L3Harris Global Communication Systems president Chris Aebli.
