DUBAI, 30th July, 2017 (WAM) -- Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, spent over AED14 million on corporate social responsibility activities during the first half of 2017 to boost its strategy and excellence in social service in the areas where it operates in Dubai, emphasising its role in community service and participation in social development.

Suhail Al Bastaki, Director of Happiness and Marketing Department at Union Coop, said, "Union Coop participated in supporting the vital sectors in the emirate of Dubai, represented in the social sector with charitable work, in partnership with ministries and governmental establishments, including the Al Jalila Corporation."Union Coop supported 23 government and private sector authorities in improving social awareness and creating a constructive culture in the community, he added.
