Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, The President of the Bahrain International Federation of Business, delivered the keynote address at the 10th International Women Leaders Summit.

The forum was attended by more than 250 women professionals from around the world.

The summit  was preceded by an inaugural dinner the previous evening, attended by Her Excellency the First Lady of Pakistan, Begum Samina Alvi and the Governor of Sindh Province, His Excellency Imran Ismail Organized by New World Concepts under the leadership of the President of Pakistan Women Entrepreneurs Network for Trade (WE-NET), Yasmin Hyder, the annual conference was bringing together 250 women professionals from around the world. 

Shaikha Hind's keynote address was focused on the challenges faced by women leaders worldwide, and the progress Bahrain has made in the field of gender equality since independence in 1971. 

Commenting on her participation at the 10th International Women Leaders Summit, Shaikha Hind bent Salman Al Khalifa said:

"It was a privilege to talk about the achievements that the Kingdom of Bahrain has made in furthering women 's rights and strengthening the cause of gender quality. As a nation we have also been blessed to have the support of our leadership in fostering a climate of inclusiveness where Bahraini women are able to achieve their potential and work alongside their male counterparts in shaping the country's future. I am also grateful to be invited to this summit as a special guest of Pakistan and to be able to use this opportunity to talk about Bahrain's progress and development in the field of gender equality.

" The International Women Leaders Summit conference series began in 2012 in Karachi, Pakistan.  It has provided an influential platform for women leaders from around the world, and served to enhance their understanding of skillsets needed in leadership in both the public and private sectors.  Since 2012, the annual conference has hosted over 160 speakers from 40 countries along with over 2, 300 delegates representing government ministers and Presidents / CEOs of large multinationals, Oscar winners, fashion designers, artists, a wide spectrum of women from all over the world  .
