Qatar Museums is ready to reveal its latest exhibition, “Imperial Threads: Motifs and Artisans from Turkey, Iran and India, which reveals the connection between three major dynasties that marked the start of Islamic art.

The exhibition will run from March 15 until November 4 at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).

It will highlight the cultural interaction, artistic influence and materials exchanged between the Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal empires, primarily from the 16th to the 18th centuries.

Focusing on carpets, manuscripts, metalwork and ceramics, other objects are also featured in this exhibition to comprehensively illustrate the historical and artistic background of this time.
