KUWAIT CITY: Kuwaiti students in Egypt live in a state of anxiety due to an unprecedented rise in the prices of tickets on the Cairo-Kuwait sector, despite the return of regular direct flights between the two countries, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to the prices announced by Egyptian and Kuwaiti airlines, return flights from Egypt to Kuwait cost approximately 450 dinars, while the cost of transit flights continue to rise, especially after Saudi Arabia stopped transit flights to Kuwait from Egypt, which only resulted in flights to Kuwait via costing even more.

Kuwait Airways stated that its Flight KU102, scheduled to take off Saturday, Sept 11, 2021 (London- Kuwait) was delayed due to a technical fault, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a statement published on its official account ‘Twitter’, the Kuwaiti Airways Corporation stated it will issue a statement as soon as details are available.
