Dubai, UAE: City, University of London has welcomed the fifth intake to its MSc Aviation Management courses in Dubai. The new cohort bringing the total number of students currently registered around the Middle East to over 200. The MENA region represents nearly half of City’s global intake, reflecting the importance of postgraduate education in ensuring the region’s bustling aviation industry continues to thrive.

The diverse cohort of 24 students from 15 different nations study one of the three MSc degree programmes City offers: MSc Air Transport Management, MSc Air Safety Management and MSc Aircraft Maintenance Management. Designed to meet the needs of people in full-time employment, all three programmes are approved by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority and are internationally recognised.

The students comprise full-time professionals from leading airlines and originate from diverse regions and nations including the Middle East, Germany, the UK, Ireland, Africa and Asia. They will take part in the three-year part-time courses at City, University of London’s Dubai Centre, located in the DIFC. A fourth MSc programme (in Airport Management) is proposed to be offered in 2018, subject to KHDA approval.

The three City, University of London MSc Aviation Management programmes currently have 450 students across the globe, using teaching locations in Dubai, London and Frankfurt.

The aviation course material is delivered by experienced professors flown in from City, University of London’s home campus. Blending academic knowledge with practical experience, they educate those currently working in the aviation sector and seeking to enhance their professional experience through a postgraduate academic degree. Professional qualifications from courses licensed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are usually accepted for direct entry into these postgraduate programmes.
