AJMAN, 17th July, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, has issued an Emiri decree appointing Khalid Abdulwahhab Al Khaja as an Executive Director of Human Appeal International in Ajman.

Emiri Decree No. 17 of 2017, which will be in force from the issuance date, was issued after a review of Emiri Decree No. 02 of 1988 to establish Human Appeal International in Ajman, which was subsequently amended by Emiri Decree No. 07 of 2002 and the statute of the authority, as well as Emiri Decree No. 16 of 2006 to appoint the Board of Trustees of the organisation. The board valued the appointment of a new director of Human Appeal International, which will enable the organisation to achieve its goals and fulfil its duties with efficiency, according to the powers granted by the Ajman Ruler to the Ajman Crown Prince, enabling him to issue Emiri Decrees.

The Decree stipulates the appointment of Al Khaja as an Executive Director of Human Appeal International in Ajman and the Supreme Executive Officer. He will also report to the board of trustees and the chairman of the board with regard to his duties.

According to the decree, the executive director will be responsible for suggesting policies, projects and work plans, as well as submitting them to the board for approval. He will also manage the implementation of these policies, projects and plans after their approval, according to the provisions of the statute of the organisation.

The executive director should also obtain written approval from the chairman of the board to implement relevant tasks.

Once in force, the new decree will cancel the appointment of the temporary executive director, which was issued on 12th January, 2017.

The decree will be published in the Official Gazette and circulated among relevant authorities and officials.
