ArabFinance: Egypt-based Enara Energy signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese energy firm Chint Electric to develop a sand-to-cell photovoltaics (PV) complex in the Arab republic, Al Borsa News cited Enaras Head of Project Development Mohamed Adel on December 28th.

The official did not disclose further details about the project, its size, cost, or timeframe.

Last June, Enara reportedly won the production and distribution of electricity contract, which was part of 1.5 million feddan project that would cost EGP 6.5 billion. The development is located in Al Mughara and West Minya regions.

Representatives from both Enara and Chint met with Egypts Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi to discuss joint cooperation for the PV production complex.
