Gozem, the super app already operational in several West African cities, today launches a taxi booking service in Libreville. From now on, all Gabonese citizens can download the Gozem app, available for free for Android and iOS, and take trips in the nation’s capital.

Gozem's goal is to simplify and improve quality of life for various stakeholders via its unique digital ecosystem. For example, its taxi cab booking service in Libreville makes it easy for users to move around the city on the one hand, and for drivers to earn a living on the other.

Customers simply open the app, enter their location, select their destination, launch their order, and the nearest available Gozem driver comes to pick them up. At the end of the ride, the app calculates the price based on the distance traveled, thanks to GPS technology, eliminating any need to negotiate. The user can then pay in cash, with Airtel Money or Moov Money, or by credit card. This represents a revolution in the transport sector in Libreville.

"We’re very excited to start our operations in Gabon with a simplified, safer and more convenient taxi booking solution. We’re confident that this innovation will create real value for passengers and drivers in the Gabonese market. And very soon afterwards,

we’ll continue to add value by expanding the range of services Gozem offers in Gabon to include delivery services and more," said Cecilia Kouna, Deputy Country Manager, Gozem Gabon.

Gabon is the third African country in which Gozem operates and the first outside of West Africa.

In Togo and Benin, in addition to standard car taxis, Gozem offers motorcycle taxis, tricycle taxis, as well as delivery of groceries, gas bottles, meals, etc. The app was launched in 2018 in order to bring world-class services to diverse African populations by leveraging smartphone, GPS and other technologies.

Gozem co-founder, Raphael Dana, adds: "We’re proud to offer this high quality, everyday service that responds to the needs of the Gabonese population, while continuing to

expand Gozem in the region. Our ambition is to consolidate our status as the premier super app in Africa, and this expansion to Central Africa, our first foray outside of West Africa, also allows us to prepare our upcoming expansion to Cameroon."
