Dubai : Dubai-based premium pre-owned car dealership GTA Cars supports the future of children’s football in the UAE by becoming an official sponsor of the award-winning soccer academy, The Football Academy. Both sides entered a one-year renewable sponsorship agreement, just in time for the new season. Funds granted by GTA Cars will be used to help the football teams to enter Dubai’s top youth leagues, enabling them to compete with the region’s best teams. It will also aim to aid the award-winning football academy in developing its programs and inspiring the next generation of young footballers across the UAE.  

The sponsorship agreement represents an exciting step for both GTA Cars and The Football Academy, bringing a new kind of partner to the home-grown soccer academy.

GTA Cars’ Managing Director, Aamir Shafiq, explains: “We are always interested in supporting organisations that may benefit from our help, and we believe The Football Academy is in line with our vision of investing in youth development, local businesses and contributing towards a bigger goal. For us, it is crucial to empower the youth to build their lives and careers through sports. The Football Academy has a great philosophy to develop young players and motivating them to become the best they can be while gaining valuable skills and self-confidence, which we are proud to be supporting”.

Ali El Jishi, the Head Coach of The Football Academy, shared his thoughts on the sponsorship agreement: “We are delighted to welcome GTA Cars as our first automotive sponsor who will allow us to develop our team of players further. We are also planning to invest the funds in more equipment which will aid us to enhance The Football Academy experience for all our footballers across all age groups”.

Founded in January 2016 is a niche soccer academy with FA & UEFA qualified coaches. Catering to children from four to 18 years old, The Football Academy is renowned for scouting local football talents, developing and preparing them for the next chapter in their football career.
