Now is the time we need to band together and keep the at-risk groups safe by social distancing and keeping to ourselves. Homegrown brand Careem NOW is looking to support local restaurants across Dubai and have reduced its commission by 15 percent.

This change will allow Careem NOW to offer the necessary support to local restaurants and encourage orders from small businesses in order to benefit the community as a whole. Using Careem NOW, customers can enjoy some of their favourite places in the comfort of their own home, staying safe and isolated while also keeping favourite Dubai-native restaurants busy during these challenging times.

Gheed El Makkaoui, General Manager at Careem UAE comments: “Careem pledges to assist its partners, customers and captains during these confusing times. Being a leader in the delivery industry, we need to be the supporting force behind our communities and our partners to push through this phase and ensure the business continuity of local merchants on our platform.”
