The International Monetary Fund's (IMF) executive board will consider approving a support programme for Bangladesh on Jan. 30, IMF deputy managing director Antoinette Sayeh said in a statement on Monday.

In November, the IMF provisionally agreed on a $4.5-billion support programme for Bangladesh to help prevent economic instability escalating into a crisis in the South Asian country. (Reporting by Sakshi Dayal in New Delhi; editing by Sudipto Ganguly)
