L&T Construction, the construction arm of Indian engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has bagged a substation contract in Saudi Arabia.
The company said in a press statement that the L&T Construction's Power Transmission & Distribution business has bagged an order for turnkey construction of a Gas Insulated Substation in the Kingdom.
The scope of the project with four different voltage levels up to 380kV comprises the associated control, protection, automation, telecommunication systems and civil and electromechanical works, the statement said.
Client, contract value and construction timelines weren't disclosed.
In April, Zawya had reported that won a construction contract for Saudi Arabia's largest solar photovoltaic (PV) plant, the 1.5-gigawatt Sudair Solar PV Project.
