Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) showcased the emirate’s exceptional offerings to its trade partners from around the globe at World Travel Market (WTM) 2021, which ran from November 1 to 3 in London.
DCT Abu Dhabi attended the event to share important news with key partners, including its exciting calendar of events and upcoming developments. It also promoted the destination at a special time for Abu Dhabi, with the UAE celebrating its Golden Jubilee this December.
“We were thrilled to have returned to London for World Travel Market, which continues to be one of the most important global events for the tourism industry,” said HE Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi. “Our attendance gave us the chance to meet with our international trade partners to share experiences in ways to innovate and evolve the travel sector in this new era. We also revealed what we have planned for visitors to Abu Dhabi over the coming months.”
With several key openings and cultural events taking place this year and into 2022, Abu Dhabi continues to be one of the world’s fastest-growing travel destinations, with the UK market an increasingly important growth sector. As the destination offers sun and sea, culture and heritage, entertainment and incredible landscapes, it is a ‘world in one place’, offering wide-ranging things to do in close proximity to each other.
World Travel Market is the leading travel industry exhibition in the UK, attracting more than 5,000 exhibitors from across the globe to the ExCel London conference centre.
