STS and Umniah aim to provide the telecom sector with a more effective and safer IT infrastructure
Umniah Mobile Company, the fastest growing telecom service provider in Jordan, and in cooperation with STS, the region's leading systems integrator and enterprise solutions provider and a Microsoft Gold Partner, deployed Microsoft's virtualization technology, Hyper-V. Utilizing Microsoft server virtualization technology, Umniah can make better use of their server system, which will ultimately enhance the company's performance while reducing their dependence on hardware.
For the first phase of the project, the STS team studied and assessed Umniah's infrastructure in order to select the most effective and efficient solution using Microsoft technology. The second phase included planning and designing in order to facilitate the implementation process with the best virtualization technology in line with the highest standards. The final phase included the actual deployment process of Microsoft's Hyper-V solution, which was specifically developed to handle complex networks in an approach that is simpler and more accurate than any other similar solution.
This project reflects STS' strategy to provide its clients with the most advanced technologies that are both effective and cost-effective. STS benefits from Microsoft's Windows Server 2008 R2, the most advanced Windows Server operating system yet, which ensures reduced costs and investments in hardware, and allows for software licenses in a flexible and timely manner, reflecting positively on the companies deploying this solution.
Mr. Aiman Mazahreh, STS General Manager said "Organizations today aim to reduce costs and improve business performance by adopting a strategy to enhance IT infrastructure of superior competency, while enabling these organizations manage their business operations and availing all resources to serve their customers to the fullest.
