Riyadh, May 17th, 2011 - Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) signed a partnership contract with naseba to organise the Kingdom Entrepreneurship Summit. The two-day summit take place in November 2011 at a five-star hotel in Riyadh.
Promoting entrepreneurs and job creation in the private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the summit gathers key government officials, leading entrepreneurs and top Saudi Arabian SMEs. Participants at the summit will network with large national and international corporations to explore business opportunities and learn about the current market needs. They will also meet peers from different industries to share their experiences and do business.
Commenting on the partnership, Khalaf Al Shammari, member of the RCCI Board of Directors and Chairman of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Committee, said, "We are participating in organising the Kingdom Entrepreneurship Summit out of our belief of the important role of the Chamber in promoting the culture of self-employment in the Kingdom and attracting decision makers from the public and private sector to benefit the interest of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs in entering the business world. This summit is part of the great support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud to the small and medium enterprises and the youth of Saudi Arabia, a Kingdom of promising opportunities."
Leading national corporations have started showing interest in supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs in the Saudi market. The private financial sector was the earliest to pay attention towards this rapidly expanding sector. Two major local banks actively involved in propelling the Saudi private business sector are sponsoring the Kingdom Entrepreneurship Summit; Saudi Hollandi Bank and Bank AlBilad.
On the other hand, Fabien Faure, Managing Director of naseba said, "The partnership aims to develop and grow the economy by encouraging Saudi entrepreneurs and innovators to build a portfolio of privately-owned businesses. We will work in collaboration with Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support entrepreneurs to establish their own business and create job opportunities in the Kingdom."
