QTA held a National Day Hotel Competition for best decorated Hotel in Doha

Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) held a National Day competition for the best decorated hotel front, involving all hotels in Qatar. QTA presented the winning hotel, Sealine Beach resort, with a substantial prize of QR 30,000, and it was handed to the resort General Manager Mr. Abdul Shakour bin Mohamad Basha, and the runner up was, Coral Hotel-Doha, represented by Deputy Chairman and General Manager Mr. Hisham Abdul Aziz, a prize worth QR 20,000, for the efforts to enhance the memorable occasion
Mr. Abdullah Al Badr, QTA'd Director of Tourism, presented the prizes to the winners in an event held at QTA premises. During the event, Mr. Al Badr said, "This competition comes to offer hotels the opportunity to deck out in their finest. Hotels were invited to enter the competition and lend their stylish elegance."
All the hotels in Doha were sent reminders of the importance of participating in the QND and promoting Qatari hospitality, by inviting all guests and visitors to sample conventional Arabic coffee and dates.
Hotels were also invited to fly the Qatari Flag in front of their hotels and distribute Qatari Flags inside their hotels in visible areas to tourists. Hotel staff wore QND pins for the occasion, and female staff wore Al Nashel Thob. White and maroon balloons were displayed in hotel entrances and reception areas and traditional Qatari food and dishes were put on main course menus for the day. Hotels added Al Rayyan TV to the channel listings in hotel rooms for a special short movie about Qatar that was broadcast by Al Rayyan TV on National Day.
