GIIC produces and supplies direct reduction billets grade iron oxide pellets to major direct reduction iron (DRI) plants mostly located within the GCC. GIIC owns and operates a pelletisation plant with a current production capacity of 4.6 MTPA of DRI pellets and is in the process of expanding its production capacity to 11.0 MTPA within the next few years. GIIC is one of Qatar Steel Company's main suppliers of raw materials of oxide pellets.
