Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON) formerly Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones (SOIETZ) launched the first electronic Property Management System developed to help speed-up the allocation of land and follow-up on factories; overcome all obstacles that may arise in the process of privatization and use land in a better way. The System simplifies the process of allocation of land electronically, follows-up on client's information, property owned by MODON and invoices and contracts.

The System also generates various reports such as empty land spaces, evaluates leaser with vacant space, statement of account for owners and tenants etc. In addition, it follows-up requests for land and takes necessary action through a system of advanced workflow sequence of procedures that had been prepared by a team of specialists from MODON after thoroughly studying the steps and procedures for the allocation of land to restructure and improve procedures for Business Process Engineering.

Dr. Tawfig Alrabiah, Director General of MODON said that MODON is seeking to improve services for industrial companies and follow up the implementation of industrial and factory requests for the allocation of industrial lands.

Alrabiah added that the system on which MODON is working, is a big move, as it will be a distinguished system through which the intelligent management of customer information, statements of property owned by MODON as of land and real estate, along with privatization, contracts, leases, invoices and issuance of building permits and shops, in addition to registration of irregularities and extraction of various reports will be implemented.. "

This modern system contains very sophisticated features and developed services, as land request and follow-up request automatically through the website www.modon.gov.sa. Also requests for building permits, drilling and follow-up, and requests for licenses and service shops, and follow-up billing and payment. The system will provide the customer information on his invoices and rent owed to MODON via the Internet. In addition to updating factories and products information, and sending messages via e-mail or SMS for different purposes as reminders for installment payments or notifying payment etc to serve 3000 factories existing in the industrial cities.

Dr. Alrabiah pointed out that the number of investment contracts signed by MODON exceeded 1000 investment contracts, clarifying that MODON offers many investment opportunities to all companies and institutions to invest in the industrial cities in many areas of investment indicating that there is land available for investment in industrial cities in Hail, Tabuk, Al- Medina, Assir, Najran, Al-Jauf, investors can access these or request for industrial land electronically by visiting MODON website on the Internet.
