KSA 2nd November 2008: Saudi Mada Gypsum Company has signed a contract to increase its Yanbu Plasterboards Plant production capacity by 24 million sq m per year.

The contract was awarded to Gyptech Co, one of the world leaders in the industry.

With the expansion, the total production capacity will be 34 million sq m per year. The project will be completed by the third quarter of 2009.

"This expansion is aimed at bringing to the market the best products at a competitive cost," the company said.

Mada Gypsum is a subsidiary of Inshaa Holding Company, which is  a part of Al-Rajhi Investment Group.

'Expanding our gypsum production in order to assume a leadership position in the market has always been our ultimate objective,' said Eng Nahil T Al-Deri, Mada Gypsum president.

The company aims to be the leader in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf and the Middle East for gypsum production, especially gypsum boards which are the most important building materials used in decoration and finishing works.

'Gyptech are our suppliers for the machinery and equipment used in gypsum boards production technology. It is worth mentioning that our factory is the first Gyptech technology-enabled factory in the Middle East, which only conveys the fact that we provide the best of international quality standards and specifications in durability, good finishing and ideal weight, in addition to our production range which covers the maximum multiple kinds of gypsum boards in thicknesses and types.
