Vienna, 2nd May, 2004: Three hotels among the InterContinental Hotels group (IHG), the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, the InterContinental Vienna, InterContinental Prague and InterContinental Budapest, are key destinations in Central and Eastern Europe. Together the three capitals share a long history and are the perfect places for today’s demanding traveller to spend some unforgettable time.

In the future Vienna Prague and Budapest will be working close together as they are forming a perfect sales cluster in the heart of Europe.

The first 3 REASONS marketing activity is to announce a launch of a special Middle East Promotion.

Mr. Christian Pertl, Area Director of Sales and Marketing Austria and Mr. Robert Landsman, Director of Sales Prague, introduce the concept of 3 REASONS in Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

“With the accession of several Eastern European countries into the European Union on May 1st, the European Union is coming closer together which is why the triangle makes perfect sense and is the only logical approach to marketing these three outstanding hotels”, says Hans W. Olbertz, Divisional Director of Operations, Austria and Eastern Europe.

From 1st of July to 10th of September, 2004 all the restaurants and cafés of the3 REASONS hotels serve original Oriental food especially for hotel guests from the Middle East  - cold mezze, hot mezze, main courses and desserts. The Executive Chef of the InterContinental Vienna, Ademir Husagic, worked for some of the most prestigious Hotels and Restaurants in the world like the Dorchester and Landmark in London or the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and is very familiar with the Middle Eastern cuisine.

In the years he spent in Dubai, not only did he start to appreciate the Oriental food, as a matter of fact it became his favorite in private life.

Together with the support of the Arabic Chef from the InterContinental in Cairo, he would like to share some of his best recipes.
