International online accommodations company, HotelClub is expanding its travel agent program to the Middle East and China. The expansion will see HotelClub further boost its offline presence in key strategic growth markets. It already has offline coverage in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malayisa, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, the Americas and United Kingdom.
The move will provide travel resellers in these markets with access to HotelClub Net Rates which will allow them to determine commissions on a per booking basis. HotelClub's travel agent program will also provide a dedicated support desk and post-sale round the clock assistance to travel agents. The company anticipates that its differentiated offering will entice travel resellers to consider HotelClub as an alternative B2B supply partner.
Nicolas Chu, President at HotelClub, says:
"The feedback we've had from agents is that they want greater control over their margins and better support from their partners. HotelClub is all about adding value to our community, whether it be our members, hotel partners or the travel agent community. In Q1, we saw a 25% increase in our travel agent program which is very encouraging. We plan to keep working with agents to give them more of what they want."
HoteClub's travel agent program was relaunched in June 2011 and reported a 61% increase in room night production from 2011 to 2012. Agents in the Middle East wanting more information can contact HotelClub's local representative at Gulf Reps (+9714 3166333) or can register directly with HotelClub at www.hotelclub.com/travelagent.asp
