Dynamic Data Centre strategy to drive business-responsive IT through virtulisation
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, July 24, 2007 -- Mobility is conquering key Middle East markets by offering crucial business benefits. As leaders in mobility solutions Fujitsu Siemens Computers aims to leverage these benefits and much more at GITEX 2007. The Middle East's largest IT exhibition takes place from September 8-12.
The company will host two dedicated meeting areas to cater to an influx of customers, industry specialists and visitors keen to learn more about Fujitsu Siemens Computers mobility and enterprise products and its business benefits. The Mobility area will feature a complete mobility scenario experience, while the Enterprise area will focus on Dynamic Data Centers (DDC) - Fujitsu Siemens Computers' strategy to drive business-responsive IT utilising the latest virtualisation and automation technologies.
"Our Dynamic Data Center strategy enables customers to replace dedicated connections between servers and services with virtual relationships, creating pools of computer and storage resources that are provided to applications on demand," said Stephane Rejasse, Managing Director for the Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
"Developed once and used by several hundred companies worldwide, DDC provides a quick path towards higher service orientation of IT. Throughout GITEX, we will organise special seminars on DDC that will be attended by Fujitsu Siemens Computers customers from across the Middle East," he added.
The Mobility area featuring a complete mobility experience will feature GPS equipped handhelds, tablet PCs and notebooks incorporating a full range of mobility features, such as push email, 3G, integrated UMTS functionality and always-on connectivity benefits. Visitors can test these mobility solutions, witness live demonstrations, and experience their tangible benefits such as increased productivity, responsiveness, accuracy, proximity, and flexibility.
Rejasse added: "Fueled by companies' increasing demand for flexible and fully connected workforces, the IT industry's most dynamic sector is in mobile technologies, and GITEX provides us with a platform to demonstrate our expertise in this field. Mobile technologies have become essential components of most enterprises, and are being increasingly combined within powerful devices to offer complete mobility solutions. Convergence and UMTS are major trends that are shaping the mobility market.
"As a customer-centric organisation, Fujitsu Siemens Computers is enabling companies throughout the region to reap the benefits of adopting mobility solutions. We do so by leveraging our leadership and experience market by offering a strategic end-to-end approach to the development of mobility projects, and providing highly mobile devices with push email, UMTS, and VoIP capabilities, as well as fully integrated backend solutions - all of which will be available to witness in action at GITEX 2007."
Fujitsu Siemens Computers at GITEX is located above Hall 5 in Sharjah Rooms A and D. The company will also offer special deals on a range of consumer products and mobility solutions through its partners at the GITEX Shopper.
