Flip Media launches branded Web Browser in partnership with AME Info at the Dubai Air Show 2003

7th December 2003, Dubai (UAE): The Flip netCafe product is a new way of branding that can be used in Internet Cafes, at exhibitions and fairs or any internet terminals in shopping malls etc. The basic idea behind this concept is a branded Web browser that can be customized in any way to represent a corporate or consumer brand.
 
Flip Media is launching this new product for the first time at the Dubai Air Show 2003, where AME Info, the ultimate business resource in the Middle East, is sponsoring the Internet café with over 20 computer terminals.
 
Visitors at the exhibition can browse for 20 minutes through the Flip netCafe application the World Wide Web, access their emails and download information. The Flip netCafe is branded in the corporate colors of AME Info and also offers some additional features:

  • A built-in news ticker reads customized and real-time news information from the Dubai Air Show 2003, and by clicking on the news-ticker the relevant information will be displayed in the Flip netCafe browser
  • Integrated email support for the recently launched AME Info Business email service that will encourage new users to sign up directly with AME Info
  • Built-in Google.com search bar caters for quick access to the leading search engine of the Internet.
  • After 20 minutes browsing time, users will be automatically logged off to allow other trade show visitors to check their emails.
  • Flip netCafe can be customized to any screen size, and even works on any Internet kiosk or multimedia platform
Next to those user-friendly features, the branding aspect of the Flip netCafe convinced AME Info to use this product: “AME Info is proud to be the first client to present the Flip netCafe at the Dubai Air Show 2003. The product has been developed by Flip Media with the support of Macromedia’s latest version of Flash Studio MX Pro.
