Al Bustan Palace opens authentic Omani village
A unique and authentic Omani Bedouin village in the grounds of the Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Muscat has re-opened, where guests can enjoy an evening of true Omani hospitality every Sunday and Wednesday.
Seblat Al Bustan is a custom-made Bedouin village which gives families the opportunity to meet, dine and indulge in true Omani style. Traditional Omani musicians and dancers will take guests on a fascinating journey through the Sultanate's rich and cultural history, while the mouth-watering five star Omani specialities will provide a taste of true Oman.
The only venue of its kind, owned and operated by the Al Bustan Palace, Seblat Al Bustan is offering a dining experience under the stars where visitors will be able to feast on Arabian dishes like fatayer, hommus and shawarma, while enjoying traditional mint tea, Turkish coffees and other customary Arabic refreshments. To complete the true ambience and authentic setting, a duo of Oud and Table'eh will perform live.
Omani henna painting will provide you with an artistic momento of the evening, while craftsmen will demonstrate pottery and silver, giving you an amazing insight into the Bedouin way of life.
Mr A. Antonio Zamora, General Manager of the Al Bustan Palace said, "Seblat is the place to go for a slice of authentic Omani life in Muscat. Our five star chefs have prepared a stunning array of Omani delicacies which help demonstrate the culinary tastes of the Bedouin people and how this has influenced modern Arabic dishes. Every visitor will leave Seblat with a taste of Bedouin culture - a must whether you're a visitor or resident in the Sultanate. We welcome you all."
Open every Sunday and Wednesday evening from 7.30pm. Seblat is also available for private functions. Reservations can be made by telephoning 24 764 111 or emailing albustan@albustanpalace.com
