Eweev, a web development company in Lebanon, announces its participation in DrupalCon 2015 in Los Angeles, USA, from May 11th till the 15th. This conference gathers, from around the world, people who use, develop, design and support Drupal content management system.

Drupal is a free open source CMS allowing users to organize, manage and publish contents on their websites without a developer's intervention. Drupal's community, around the globe, gathers more than 700,000 users and developers who work daily on updating it.

Drupal Association, with the help of partners and volunteers, is bringing DrupalCon 2015 to unite web developers, project managers, bug reporters, and others in that field to acquire new Drupal skills. This conference helps the attendees to get the latest Drupal updates and tips, in addition to meeting and discussing with people with the same background.

As a Drupal contributor in Lebanon and the Middle East, Eweev decided to take things further and travel to California to attend DrupalCon 2015. For this web development company, it will be an interesting step to getting more involved in this community and on a wider scale. After being a main contributor in the Middle East for years, Mr. Julien Fayad, co-founder of Eweev and a Drupal user said: "It's about time to move forward by expanding our connections internationally. We found in the North American DrupalCon a great opportunity to achieve this especially that it's the most widely attended Drupal event in the world."

This participation allows Eweev's team to get stronger bonds with like-minded people for future connections and exchange ideas related to several topics in web development using Drupal. On this, Mr. Fayad said: "Our attendance isn't only about improving our skills and knowledge, but also to build contacts in this milieu that opens new opportunities."

On the technical side, this convention will give Eweev an early peek on the upcoming version of the CMS, Drupal 8, to get more familiar with it when it is launched. Eweev developers are now working with the latest Drupal so far, Drupal 7. The team will also be attending sessions to improve their efficiency in several aspects like user experience design, coding, development, and business strategy. According to Mr. Fayad, the main purpose of their participation in DrupalCon 2015 is to import this new knowledge to the Middle East and serve more efficiently their clients.

Since Eweev is working on reinforcing the Drupal spirit and movement in the Middle East, Mr. Fayad expects this conference to give them the incentive to organize and manage sprints to grow the regional community.
