High quality presentation, networkable solution to address large audiences
June 17, 2003
Organisations and venues in the region seeking to address large audiences will benefit from one of the most efficient, high quality presentation solutions provided by EPSON’s new EMP-8300 installation projector. This projector combines powerful performance, easy and smart installation with intelligent functions making it ideal for clubs, lecture halls, meeting rooms and presentation suites.
The EMP-8300 is designed for large audience installations, and provides a high efficiency performance by using a new Dream III 1.4-inch LCD panel and high brightness of 5,200 ANSI Lumens*. As with all EPSON installation projectors, the EMP-8300 is built to handle the most demanding presentation environments with ease, and with a contrast ratio of 1,200:1 it produces the highest quality presentations and detailed images.
“According to the market research company DTC, EPSON is the market leader for projectors in the corporate and institutional market across EMEA in Q4 2002 – and this leadership will be maintained by providing innovative products and great service.
EPSON’s EMP-8300 offers the Middle East market segment leading 1.4” LCD panel with Networking (EasyMP) functionalities together with the highest brightness in the EPSON range of 5,200 ANSI Lumens. The XGA* projector which is fully networkable has several features designed specifically for this environment including electrical control system for optics shift from a remote control and a new Air Filter,” said Khalil El Dalu, General Manager, EPSON Middle East.
By using EPSON EasyMP.net functions, the EMP-8300 offers extensive networkability, allowing the projectors to be monitored and basic features controlled through the LAN network. These functions are accessible via different software applications, such as SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), ENP Network Manager and EMP Monitor. Due to this comprehensive system the network user can check and control several aspects in the projector such as lamp life warning, input source, AV mute and IP address.
New additional features include EPSON Quick Corner, which adjusts the horizontal and vertical independently by means of an on-screen assistance window. The EPSON Preview Function assists in the selection of the input source and enables the users to scan on-screen what sources are available.
Not only does the EMP-8300 have the highest brightness in the EPSON projector range, it is also the first EPSON projector that incorporates the electrical control system for optics shift from a remote control. This means the user can adjust zoom, focus and lens shift (vertical).
As an installation product, it is vital for the EMP-8300 to be able to work in an environment where dust may gather. EPSON has developed a new Air Filter and embedded it into the EMP-8300 so that it is highly resistant to any dust. A conventional filter can prevent the dust of up to 20-micron sizes but the EMP-8300 can isolate dust at approximately 5-microns.
