Manama: DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, one of Bahrain's biggest mixed-use residential urban developments has sponsored this year's Architectural and Interior Design Graduation Project Award being conducted by the Civil Engineering & Architecture Department of the College of Engineering; UoB. As part of the company's ongoing support for the students of University of Bahrain, DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ will be rewarding the best architectural and interior design projects created by students as part of their course requirements. In the past DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ has continuously encouraged young students through such initiatives and last year also prizes were given away to three outstanding students. This year, a total of six students from the architecture and interior design departments will be rewarded with prizes.

Mr. Aaref Hejres, CEO of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ said, "Over the years we have seen these students coming up with some really great designs. Each year we see more and more improvement in the thinking and the quality of work these youngsters produce. In a way our support has raised the bar for these students and the increased competitiveness amongst themselves has been giving some great results. We look forward to support to these students and the University of Bahrain in the near future also."

The award ceremony was held yesterday at University of Bahrain's Isa Town campus and was attended by Mr. Aaref Hejres who handed over the prizes to the winning students. The judging of the projects was done between June 20 and 22.
